The article describes how to connect the mobile device emulator running Windows Mobile 6.1 to Exchange 2007. The emulator can prove to be a perfect diagnostic tool for issues in mobile devices running Windows Mobile that connect to Exchange.
Although the author of this article uses emulator with Windows Mobile 6.1, other version of the system e.g. 5.0, 6.5 can be used as well.
Windows Mobile emulator setup
Download the Windows Mobile 6.1 emulator setup and run it. The installation is simple and does not require any special attention from the user. When the installation completes, run the program from the Start Menu

The first thing to configure is the network adapter that is used to connect the network adapter of the device to the server. To do it choose Configure from the File menu and go to the Network tab. Select Enable NE2000 PCMCIA Network adapter and bind to: and from the drop down menu choose the correct network adapter that will be used by the device (Fig.2).
