In my previous article I have described a method how to change an outgoing message format when using the Send To feature. But changing the message format each time might be a little unsuitable. After following a couple of steps below, you can set this feature permanently.
First of all, set up a default message format in Microsoft Outlook. To do this go to Tools/Options in Microsoft Outlook 2007. Choose Mail format. From the Compose in this message format menu pick the one that should be default for all messages e.g. HTML. Next, do the following:
1. Open My Computer window and go to the location of the Send To folder. In Windows XP it should be in C:/Documents And Settings/Username/SendTo.
2. In the folder view window, right-click background and choose New/Shortcut.
3. Click Browse and locate outlook.exe file. It's by default in C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office12/outlook.exe.
4.In the Target field, add a parameter at the end. (Fig. 1.)

5. Apply the changes by clicking Next.
6. In the Select a name for the shortcut field type Mail recipient using Outlook and apply the changes with Finish button.
7. If you want to test how the shortcut works, right click on any file you wish to send and choose Mail recipient using Outlook from the Send To option. (Fig. 2.)

Microsoft Outlook New mail window should appear with the chosen file as an attachment. The message should be in previously selected email format.
