When you install only Outlook 2010 (or it's installed without the rest of MS Office 2010 suite) the following features will not work as expected. They may or may not work to some extent. E.g. spell check as you type (with the red underlines on misspelled words) is not available but the one under the F7 key and spell check on send are available.
- Themes. They are disabled and you can't set stationery (in File, Options, Mail, Signatures & Stationery) as the default for new messages.
- Automatic formatting of bulleted and numbered lists. They are not automatically detected and applied. I.e., typing "1. " will not create a numbered list automatically.
- Automatic formatting of tables. The Insert table button is disabled. You can paste tables copied from other documents or use borders to create a table.
- Proofing tools like the spell & grammar checking, and thesaurus. Spell and grammar check as you type does not work but F7 and spell check on send work.
- SmartArt graphics, drawing, charting, and diagramming tools (including the Screen clip tool) (Fig.1.).
- Captions
- Equation Builder
- WordArt

What if I have the Office Home & Student 2010 edition installed and activated and then I decide to buy Microsoft Outlook 2010 (standalone) and install it on of my PCs? Will the features be available?
