Some emails I receive, that are in HTML format, are changed to plain text. The infobar doesn't tell me that it is changed but I get all of the header information and any pictures have been removed. How do I get Outlook to not change those emails?
This is happening on two different computers running two different anti-virus software but the same emails are affected. I'll try turning off my email scanner on one of the computers and see if it makes any difference.
Can you check Tools, Trust Center, Email Security to see whether 'read all messages as plain text' is checked? Is this happening to all mail or do you ever receive HTML?
When they get in my inbox. If I go to the online website and look at the email, it is fine. When I open Outlook and it downloads it into the inbox it is changed.
There must be some conversion going on between the server and your Outlook - a would blame AV soft. What AntiVirus program do you have? There was a number of similar cases with AVG involved. The solution to them was: - Open AVG. - Click Tools and select Advanced Settings. - Select E-mail Scanner. - Unselect Certify e-mail. Let us know how it worked for you.
